What is wrong with the world? We’re in the middle of a global pandemic, on the scale not seen for generations, and what is going on in America is shocking!
I watched Hairspray with my wife at the weekend. The show deals with themes of segregation and racism and how people want to break free and fight against it. It seemed strange watching it while what is going on is going on. The musical is based in the early 60’s and unfortuntely it goes to show that in almost 60 years very little has changed. It’s unbelieveable and sad :-(
It stopped what could have been a very exciting week for the human race in the midst of the Covid-19 situation. The launch of SpaceX and putting a manned space craft into orbit for the first time, from American soil, in 9 years is incredible. The fact that it’s a privately funded flight programme is amazing. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what is to come for space exploration.
My take away from this week is; keep dreaming, keep fighting for what is right, keep safe.
